DELSU Academic Calendar and Holiday Schedule 2026/2027

Delta State University (DELSU) all campuses management has announced her academic calendar and holiday schedule for the first and second semester of the 2026/2027 academic session. All students are advised to return on 8 November 2026. Lectures and course registration commence on 9 November 2026. 100 level students who just got admitted are resume on Sunday, 25 October 2026 to start their clearance as lecture will commence November 2027

First semester schedule

• 25 October 2026: Fresh students resume on campus.
• 26 October 2026: Medicals and screening of fresh students begin.
• 4 to 6 November 2026: Orientation for fresh students.
• 7 November 2026: Matriculation of fresh students.
• 8 November 2026: Returning students return to campus.
• 9 November 2026: Course registration and lectures begin for all students.
• 13 November 2026: Applications for resumption of studies close.
• 4 December 2026: Course registration closes for all students.
• 7 to 11 December 2026: Late course registration, with penalty fees.
• 14 December 2026: Last day for course addition, modification and deletion.
• 8 January 2027: Temporary withdrawal and deferment close.
• 5 February 2027: Deadline for submission of Continuous Assessment (CA) scores to the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic).
• 12 February 2027: Lectures end.
• 15 to 19 February 2027: Revision.
• 22 February to 12 March 2027: First semester examinations.
• 15 to 26 March 2027: Two-week first semester break.

Second semester schedule

• 28 March 2027: All students return to campus.
• 29 March 2027: Lectures begin.
• 14 April 2027: Senate considers first semester results.
• 25 June 2027: Deadline for submission of CA scores to the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic).
• 28 June to 2 July 2027: Final week of lectures.
• 2 July 2027: Lectures end.
• 5 to 23 July 2027: Second semester examinations.
• 23 July 2027: Second semester break begins. The calendar describes the break as 12 weeks.
• 8 September 2027: Senate considers second semester results.
• 17 October 2027: Second semester break ends.
• 18 October 2027: The first semester of the 2027/2028 academic session begins.

Holiday Schedule

There are three holidays recorded in this timetable. The school will go on Christmas holiday on 14th of December 2026, so you are to return to school and resume on 8th of January, its likely quiz will be conducted this week, so do not prospone your stay. On 15th to 26th of March 2027 there will be Two-week first semester break. You are to resume on 28th March 2027. Third holiday is 23 July 2027 which is the longest holiday, Second semester break begins. This schedule will last for 12 weeks then you resume on 18 October 2027 for 2027/2028 academic session
