Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) formerly Anambra State University (ANSU) hereby announces to the general public, especially its prospective students, that it has commenced the sale of its 2026/2027 academic session post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise application form which started its sales on Monday, 8 June 2026 and will end its sales on Friday, 7 August 2026.
COOU Post UTME / DE Screening Eligibility
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and Direct Entry candidates who chose the school as First Choice Institution in the just concluded 2026 UTME are eligible to register for the University’s Post-UTME Exercise and the official JAMB cut off mark is 150 then 200 for Professional courses
Professional Courses which includes Law, Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Pharmaceutical Science must have a minimum score of 200 to qualify.
Other Courses: Candidates who scored 150 and above are qualified to apply.
Candidates with scores between 150–165 are encouraged to consider the courses listed in the recommended schedule.
How to Register for ANSU Post UTME Screening Exercise
- Visit the Application Portal
- Go to apply.coou.edu.ng to begin your application.
- Create an Account
- If you don’t have an account, click “Create One” under the Sign-in button. Use a best email and personal phone number you can access.
- Log in with your JAMB Registration Number and the password you created in Step 2.
- Follow the Application Progress steps to complete your Post UME application.
Post Utme Guildlines
Please adhere strictly to the below registration guidelines
Candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026. A non-refundable processing fee of ₦2,000 is required via the application portal.
Result Upload: Upload of O Level result(s) – WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB (and A’ Level for DE candidates) is compulsory
Candidates should stay regularly updated with their registered post utme phone number, email, and the COOU website for news on the screening exercise.
Candidates who didn’t choose COOU
Candidates who did not make COOU as their First Choice but scored the eligible pass mark can apply for the school post utme after visiting JAMB CBT Centres and implementing a change of institution.
Direct Entry (DE)
DE candidates who made COOU their First Choice must register for the screening exercise. Holders of NCE/OND/HND/First Degree or A Level in relevant disciplines are all eligible. Academic transcripts must be forwarded to the Registrar office at igbariam campus on or before the deadline. Late submissions will not be considered.
